Why choose PNG over JPG?
PNG doesn’t use lossy compression, so text, line art and sharp edges stay crisp. JPG usually gives a smaller file for photos and scans, but can blur fine detail.
Is the background transparent?
No, pages are rendered on a white background, the same as PDF to JPG.
What’s the difference between standard and high resolution?
Standard renders at 150 dpi, good for screens. High renders at 300 dpi, sharp enough for printing, but produces larger files.
Can I convert just one page?
Use Extract pages first to pull out the page you want, then convert that single-page PDF to PNG.
